THE GULF WAR: OVERREACTION & EXCESSIVENESS
Hassan A. El-Najjar
This book is critical of the way the Bush administration reacted to the 1990 Iraqi-Kuwaiti crisis and the way it conducted the 1991 Gulf War. It reveals the real story of the War in a way that counter-balances the pro-War accounts that have flooded the market, during the last ten years.
The chapters of the book reveal the real story of the Gulf War through a thorough investigation and analysis of the major issues and questions that led to the development of the Crisis and the War. Among these are the Iraqi claims of Kuwait; how Kuwaitis treated the majority of the population, immigrants; the background of inter-Arab conflict; the role of Western interests in the development of the conflict; how the 1990 Crisis developed; how the War decision was made, who made it, and when? why did the Bush administration reject all peace initiatives? Was the War excessive? Was the destruction of Iraq a goal in itself? What about Kuwaitis, were they innocent? What did they do to Palestinians after the War and why? Finally, what were the War results and consequences, for America and Arabia?

A Factual View
By jags
Mr. Hassan Al Najjar editorials are filled with falsehoods, misguided conclusions and can be summarized as "Arab socialist innuendo and corrupt Palestinian rhetoric", that unfortunately got a lot of Arab countries in trouble or disappointed. It is unfortunate that Lebanon (once call the Switzerland of the Middle East) is torn apart in conflict because of the Palestinians, this has been a chronic issue with Palestinians, where ever they go havoc follows whether it is Jordan or Kuwait. In all three cases, a disturbing majority of Palestinians continue to cause havoc and instability; I refer to those who have financially benefited from world sympathy and seem to promote violence. Mr. Al Najjar misguided presentation is most pronounced in his ignorance about Kuwaiti history and what transpired during the gulf war, he is neither a Kuwaiti nor a member of the collation armed forces. Mr. Al Najjar reference to Kuwaiti neighborhoods is false and baseless and only, bets on the thought that the world is unaware of his falsehoods. Mr. Al Najjar has never participated in any historical event including any humanitarian effort towards Palestinians or other people in need of help including the Israeli civilizations targeted by Palestinians terrorists. Rather, at best Mr. Al-Najjar is paparazzi that is well suited in invoking dispute in the hopes of gaining public attention. It is a fact, that all Gulf Counties countries offered Palestinians the best level of care and support from 1948 to 1990, and disappointingly, this has been rewarded with terrorists activities in Kuwait, specifically in 1984 and 1985, which included hijacking the national airline and bombings of civilians. The Palestinians Liberation Office in Kuwait was always a source of instability in Kuwait. There is much more to the truth that the partiality of Mr. Al Najjar, most of his references are out of context. What breaks my heart is that Kuwait continues to support the Palestinian regime which is chronically corrupt and misguided by literary authors that only promote bigotry and hate, and in all cases depict themselves as victims. There are no victims in conflict, we are all responsible and the bottom line has always been Palestinians are bad news, this may be a product of corrupt leadership but I would say misrepresentation. This is a classical case, where a extremely literate group of people, use their knowledge to obscure the truth and promote an unethical and immoral political agenda.

Anti-semetic garbage
By Dennis P. Skea
This is the worst piece of bigoted trash I have read in a long while. Dr. El-Najjar's hatred of Israel comes through loud and clear. I feel sorry for his students at Dalton State University. I'm sure is biases permiate his lectures.
