Su-en Wong was born in Singapore in 1973. She grew up with aspirations of becoming a ballerina. At age 16, Wong left for the United States to embark on a career of piano performance but, upon discovering that she had stage fright, as well as an affinity and love for painting and drawing, she changed career paths once again. I Wouldn't Recommend This Pamphlet Even @ Gunpoint

This "book" consisted of only 24 pages, and the pages were off-centered at that. Nonetheless, I have always thought that one should never judge a book by its cover. After reading the pamphlet, I knew that the quality of the pamphlet (or rather, lack therof, was consistant with the content).
I could have easily put together a more informative pamphlet, with better information (e.g., Credit Card companies that actually offer a 20-25 day grace period on Balance Transfers). Now this is the kind of information that I would pay for, and that quite frankly, I thought that I would be getting from this selection.

Poor and unethical. This grocery store horoscope size pamphlet tells how to cheat the Dept. stores, too. Must do this every month. Book not recommended. 1/2 star. Hey Northridge, CA... your right around the corner from me!

Best snapshot, some interesting essays

This is probably the single best overview of the intersection of real estate and technology from an industry perspective. The bulk of the book is two page overviews of 75 leading firms, comprising a broad competitive landscape. Though there is good data on these companies and some analysis of their functionality/proposition, this does not have the teeth of an analysts report nor provides deep insight into their business models or viability (FYI, that would be a lot to ask). Nonetheless, for anybody seriously trying to make sense of the changes going on, this is a very good start. For those involved in the business, it is pretty much essential if for no other reason than to keep straight the myriad of offerings containing the word 'home'.
The other essays are interesting, some informative because they are written by insiders and influentials, but I found more of the value in the company profiles (cheaper than a pass to Real Connect). Lastly, because of changes in the industry, this is a perishable good. I'd recommend buying it sooner rather than later. For a good overview of the last period of real estate and technology, the author's previous title (R.E. Confronts Reality) provides good context.

The dazzling masquerade of New Orleans’ Mardi Gras opens its arms wide, dances, and flaunts, full color and full page, in Kerri McCaffety’s MASKING AND MADNESS.

McCaffety takes the art of portrait photography to North America’s biggest costume party. A photographer with an anthropology degree who has recorded cultures all over the world, she returns to her hometown to capture the spirit of New Orleans’ masquerade with a sharp wit, fresh vision, and profound sensitivity.

The celebration in the streets, with a backdrop of lace-iron balconies and old oaks, combines with stark portraits of costumed citizens photographed in a Royal Street courtyard-turned-studio on Fat Tuesday. Accompanying the parade of images, a wry introduction by Cynthia Reece McCaffety explains the history behind this tradition of costuming and indulgence that goes back thousands of years.

About the Author
Kerri McCaffety was born in Texas and educated at Tulane University, where she earned a degree in anthropology. She also founded her own publishing house, Vissi d'Arte Books, in 2000, which released OBITUARY COCKTAIL and MASKING AND MADNESS. She has homes in New Orleans and Mykonos, Greece.

About the Author
When Linda Coss’ oldest son (now a young adult) was first diagnosed with life-threatening food allergies, this was an extremely uncommon and almost unknown condition. Few resources were available, the internet did not really exist, manufacturers were not required to list all ingredients on food packages, and schools had no experience accommodating these children’s special needs. It was her experiences in learning to care for – and cook for – her son that motivated Ms. Coss to take action to help others. Since then Linda Coss has written and self-published three books for the food allergy market, and is the founder and leader emeritus of a local food allergy support group (she handed over leadership after 13 years at the helm). Linda also gives presentations to both parents and medical professionals about food allergies and the issues involved in raising severely food-allergic children.

Great For Everyone!!!

As a neighbor of Linda Coss I had the good fortune of being both a "recipe taster" and "recipe tester" for this book. Although no one in my household has food allergies, I can honestly say that I LOVE this cookbook! Some of my favorites include the Orange County Salmon Salad (better than a restaurant salad), Hoisin Chicken, and Family-Style Slow Cooker Chicken. My 10-year-old son regularly asks me to make Jason's 4-Star Brisket and the Sloppy Joe Wraps (a really great choice for after soccer or baseball practice, when we're both starving and I have no time to cook). Of course, we enjoy all of the baked goods, too (although I'm not a baker myself).

As a busy single dad I don't have a lot of time to spend in the kitchen. These recipes are fast, easy, and delicious. A big thumbs up!

Highly Recommend!

I've had this book for about 2 months now and I've got to say it's the best food allergy cookbook in my collection. I like it even better than Linda's first book, which I've always viewed as my "food allergy cooking bible." Every recipe I've tried has been a big hit with the entire household. I especially appreciate how ridiculously quick and easy the dinner recipes are. I work full time and don't have a lot of time to spend in the kitchen. "Four Ingredient Chicken," "California Flank Steak" (preparation time: 5 minutes), "Seven Minute Soup" -- now this is the way I like to cook! If you're trying to make delicious dairy-, egg-, and nut-free meals that the whole family will enjoy, but you can't spend all day cooking (or all week running all over town looking for oddball ingredients), you've got to get this book.

The puzzle of evil is vastly incomplete without considering the legacy of Lucifer. Once an anointed angel in heaven, he somehow turned into the enemy of all that is right and holy and good. Using the Biblical glimpses of his downfall as our framework, I paint a picture of this amazing transformation in which Lucifer, the light-bearer, eventually became Satan, the slimy, seductive hater of God. Through looking at his beginning, and using some imagination and inspiration (while staying in the parameters of Biblical revelation) perhaps we can get a better understanding of the puzzling topic of the origin and essence of evil.

About the Author
Pastor Charles Simpson was raised in Tennessee and became a Christian in high school in the late 70’s. Soon after graduating, he moved to New York City to be a missionary in the Big Apple. While on staff at Times Square Church he married his wife, Lynn. He has planted three churches: in the South Bronx, in Scottsdale, Arizona and in Astoria, Queens where he and his wife now live and pastor Hope Chapel, Queens Foursquare Church.
