About the Author
When I transferred to L&D after 15 years, I went looking for a little reference book like the one I had carried in ER. Not finding one, I decided to write one. It started off small, just a few notes scribbled on paper, but it GREW! I found friends and co-workers wanted copies of my little "cheat sheets." My husband, a flight paramedic, found use for it on the helicopter too. We started a class for field providers, flight nurses, paramedics and EMTs. This little project has turned into an obsession and L&D In My Pocket is the result. I hope you will find it as indispensable as I do.
This book is for those moments when indecision (or panic) strikes at your heart. Just imagine the OB saying "Nurse, start some Dopamine, hurry!" Absolutely indispensible

This should be required for all new L&D nurses as well as doulas who do a lot of hospital births. Excellent "cheat sheet" book for nurses who need to understand what to do/give or doulas who want to inform their clients (of course, because doulas would never treat, diagnose or prescribe anything as they are not medical professionals). I loved the Spanish language section in the back, esp the words for breastfeeding. They thought of everything for this handy little guide!

This handy little book is one of the best small references,
I've ever come across in the medical field. It's quick, at a glance graphics and simple explantions have me saying to my staff: Have you checked "In my pocket"?
They know to look there first. Kudos to Ms. Martineau!!!
