About the Author
Vic Eichler is a retired college professor who has had a love of all things of the natural world since he was a young boy. Once he moved to Michigan and discovered Petoskey Stones they provided a natural focus for his interests in the biological sciences, fossils, marine life, and geologic history. The author has published other interesting books available through Amazon.com, including "Morel Mushrooms in Michigan and Other Great Lakes States", "Charlevoix Stones and Other Beachcomber Treasures of Northern Michigan", and his most recent book "Passenger Pigeons: Gone Forever" that recognizes the centennial of the tragic extinction, in 1914, of the most numerous bird that lived in North America.
