About the Author
S.J. Wise had a degree in surgical technology and attended the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. She acquired her nursing training while on active duty in the U.S. Army during Desert Storm. She has been part of the fitness industry since 1973 when she took up martial arts. She is a 5th degree black belt and teaches her own course of instruction. S.J. has written for numerous magazines. She has also worked as a free lance artist and stand-up comic sharing the stage with both Roseanne Barr and Jenny Jones.

I'm not hungry!

I am the type of person that always likes to be snacking on something. I have tried numerous diets and tricks. They all work for a while, but I always go back to the old way. So I started working out in the gym. I was still having trouble taking off the pounds. One day a friend gave me this book to read. I couldn't believe how much sense it made. So the next day I started watching my sugar grams. I am shocked to find how my sugar you eat without even thinking about it. So now I limit my sugar grams and I truly am not snacking anymore. Before I was constantly thinking about what I could eat next, but now I am not hungry like I was. And if you are not hungry, guess what--you don't eat! I am excited about this book and recommend it to all. Thanks S. J. Wise!

A must for personal trainers

As a personal trainer I spend countless hours discussing diets and their effects on the body. I am often asked about healthy substitutes for unhealthy foods. This books makes it easy. It not only explains, in simple terms, how sugar effects the body but gives real life substitutes that actually work to relieve the cravings. I actually give this book to my most addicted clients and it has worked wonders. This book is an essential read for all trainers who are serious about helping their clients succeed.
